A quick thought on Samson.
It is clear that God had a special plan for him, as the angel of the Lord foretold his birth and purpose. Yet, he never showed any faith in God, nor was he a strong leader for Israel..or positive example for us. He continued to tell Delilah his "secrets" even though she was clearly trying to trap him...such was his arrogance. Then, even in his death, he is more concerned with avenging his wrong than God. God uses whom He will. Like the pagan nations that were used for His purpose, so was Samson. How sad to be a useful vessel that doesn't know the one who is giving him use. Lord, let that not be said of me. That he was given these gifts ...but he squandered them on selfish ambition.
